Net Zero News: Amplify EV teams with Paua to secure UK EV funding

Welcome to Net Zero News, where we bring you the latest developments driving the UK’s transition to a net-zero future. Net Zero News can reveal that Amplify EV and Paua have entered a strategic partnership to enhance electric vehicle charging provision across the UK market.

On 25 November 2025, EV infrastructure solutions firm Amplify EV and EV roaming solutions provider Paua announced their collaboration in the UK. The agreement will deliver an integrated offering to public and fleet charging operators, combining Amplify EV’s nationwide capabilities in installation, commissioning, and operations & maintenance with Paua’s roaming technology, providing enhanced connectivity for fleet charging.

Amplify EV brings extensive expertise in deploying and maintaining charge points across the country. Its services span site survey, hardware installation, grid connection and ongoing technical support. The company has grown rapidly in recent years, supporting local authorities, commercial sites and motorway service areas with reliable infrastructure.

Paua specialises in roaming solutions that simplify access to multiple charging networks via a single platform. Its technology has been adopted by fleets seeking seamless billing, real-time reporting and consolidated management of charge events. Paua’s software integrates with a variety of charge point operators, reducing complexity for fleet managers.

This partnership arrives as the UK strives to meet its legislated net-zero greenhouse gas emissions target by 2050. Transport remains the largest emitting sector, and the transition of commercial fleets to zero-emission vehicles is critical. Net Zero News understands this forms part of the UK government’s wider push to increase charger availability and improve user experience.

In a significant step towards the UK’s net-zero goals, the collaboration is expected to accelerate fleet electrification. By offering end-to-end support from installation through to roaming, operators can scale EV charging infrastructure more efficiently. This, in turn, could lead to reductions in tailpipe emissions and support the decarbonisation of logistics and delivery services.

The partnership is a private sector initiative led by Amplify EV and Paua, with no direct public funding announced at this stage. Both companies will leverage their existing networks and relationships with property owners, energy suppliers and charge point manufacturers to roll out the integrated solution.

Net Zero News understands this forms part of a growing trend of collaboration between technology providers and installers. The aim is to remove barriers to investment and ensure that fleets, regardless of size, can access reliable charging without managing multiple contracts.

This development aligns with the UK’s Transport Decarbonisation Plan and the more recent EV Infrastructure Strategy, which set out requirements for rapid expansion of public and private charging facilities. The government has emphasised the need for interoperable networks and clear roaming capabilities to support widespread EV uptake.

The Department for Transport has indicated that robust roaming arrangements are essential to prevent fragmentation and boost consumer confidence. Amplify EV and Paua’s partnership directly responds to these policy priorities, aiming to deliver a more cohesive charging network for commercial users.

Communities near major transport routes stand to benefit from improved charging availability and reduced air pollution. The logistics sector may see lower operating costs as fleets switch to electric models, while installation and maintenance work is likely to generate new skilled roles across the UK.

Looking ahead, Amplify EV and Paua plan to commence joint deployment of their integrated offering in early 2026. Milestones include the onboarding of pilot fleet customers and expansion of the roaming platform to cover additional charge point operators by mid-year.
