Maxus Debuts All-Electric eDeliver 75 in 7.5-Tonne Market

Welcome, Net Zero News readers,

In an exciting development for the electric vehicle landscape in the UK, Maxus has made a significant leap into the 7.5-tonne Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) electric vehicle sector with the unveiling of its dedicated eDeliver 75 model. This fully electric vehicle is set to revolutionise the light to medium-duty transport sector, addressing the urgent need for clean and efficient solutions in urban, inter-urban, and last-mile transport.

Set to launch in October, the eDeliver 75 is designed to meet the rising demand for sustainable transport alternatives. It boasts a robust 120kWh battery pack sourced from CATL, offering an impressive official WLTP range of 155 miles. Operators will benefit from two electric Power Take-Off (ePTO) options of 15kW or 100kW, allowing for versatile operational capabilities.

One of the standout features of the eDeliver 75 is its rapid charging capability. With a charging power of 120kW, operators can achieve a 20-80% charge in just 30 minutes when using a rapid DC charger. Furthermore, its payload capacity of 4,590kg aligns with the best offerings currently available in the sector, ensuring maximum productivity for operators.

The eDeliver 75 is positioned as the premier electric solution for both existing van customers and new medium-duty operators transitioning to zero emissions. It will be available in two wheelbase options and features a “comfortable, well-appointed, modern cab” that comes equipped with an array of comfort and convenience features as standard. Notable equipment includes cruise control, a heated multi-function steering wheel, keyless start, and exterior Vehicle to Load (V2L) capability.

Maxus is also committed to customer satisfaction, offering a five-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year battery warranty as standard. This commitment is further supported by a comprehensive aftersales portfolio and the established Maxus UK national dealer network, along with a dedicated vehicle off-road (VOR) team based at its headquarters in Liverpool.

The rollout of the eDeliver 75 is strategically structured to build market momentum and ensure readiness across the dealer network. A customer launch and detailed pricing information, which Maxus promises will be highly competitive, are slated for October, with the first demonstration vehicles expected to hit the roads in December. Deliveries will follow established timelines at approximately 20 weeks for factory orders, with Maxus planning a steady pipeline of stock vehicles to ensure swift and efficient delivery through its network.

Brian Patterson, Managing Director of Harris Group, remarked, “The launch of the eDeliver 75 marks a defining moment not just for Maxus UK, but for the future of zero-emission logistics nationally. This is more than a new truck; it is a bold statement of intent. With class-leading range, rapid-charge capability, and outstanding payload efficiency, the eDeliver 75 redefines what operators can expect from an electric 7.5-tonner. We’re offering a technologically advanced solution that supports fleets through every mile of their net-zero journey. And it’s all backed by our nationwide dealer network, proven aftersales infrastructure, and a price point that challenges the competition. Maxus is not merely entering the race; we’re jumping into the lead.”

Safety is also a top priority for the eDeliver 75, which comes equipped with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These include lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a blind spot information system, moving-off information system, driver fatigue monitor, and alcolock preparation. Additional safety features encompass a traffic sign recognition system with speed limit detection, driver and passenger airbags, and a comprehensive 360-degree camera system integrated with reversing sensors, all accessible through a 12.3-inch infotainment system that supports DAB radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity.

Ross Davies, Sales Director at Maxus UK, stated, “The specification and technology are adapted to market, customer, driver, and operational needs. This has created an agile, versatile, safe, and comfortable truck for any mid-to-final-mile distribution and delivery demands. Our new eDeliver 75 also features an optimised chassis design for bodybuilder integration, ensuring compatibility with specialist applications across multiple sectors.”

The eDeliver 75 is the latest addition to the growing Maxus product line, which also includes the eDeliver 3, 5, 7, and 9 electric panel vans, the Deliver 7 and Deliver 9 diesel vans, Mifa 7 and Mifa 9 MPVs, alongside the T60 Max and eTerron 9 electric pickups. This expanding range underscores Maxus’s commitment to providing innovative, sustainable transport solutions that meet the diverse needs of operators in today’s evolving logistics landscape.

As we witness a monumental shift towards electric mobility, the introduction of the eDeliver 75 signals not just a new product launch, but a transformative moment in the logistics industry. With its advanced features, exceptional performance, and commitment to sustainability, the eDeliver 75 is set to redefine expectations and chart a new course for zero-emission transport in the UK.
