Join Moray Tenants’ Forum Now!

The Moray Tenants’ Forum is on the lookout for fresh faces to join their influential group, which represents council housing tenants in Moray. This call for new members comes just before their annual general meeting, where tenants are given a platform to voice their opinions, provide suggestions, and impact decisions related to improving housing services.
Notably, the council’s housing service regularly seeks the forum’s input on proposed policy changes, highlighting the significant role that this group plays in shaping the future of housing in Moray.
Speaking about the Forum, member Alison Angus emphasised the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of their meetings, encouraging all interested tenants to participate. She stressed the importance of ensuring that the forum is a true reflection of all council tenants’ views.
Chair of Moray Council’s Housing and Community Safety Committee, Cllr Amber Dunbar, echoed these sentiments, emphasising how the forum facilitates collaboration between residents and the council to bring about positive changes. Cllr Dunbar urged tenants eager to make a difference to seize the opportunity to get involved and influence decision-making processes.
The highlight of the forum’s calendar is their upcoming annual general meeting, scheduled to take place at The Inkwell on Francis Place in Elgin on Tuesday, 5th November 2024, from 11 am to 12 pm. Following the AGM, there will be a shorter general meeting featuring a guest speaker, concluding with an informal lunch.
