TEAM Energy to assist firms with ESOS Energy Action Plan.

The latest news on ESOS Phase 3 shows that the deadline has passed, with over 7000 compliance notifications received by the Environment Agency from various organisations.
While these submissions have been completed, it is important to note that organisations falling under the ESOS scheme are also required to submit an ESOS Energy Action Plan outlining their energy-saving initiatives, as highlighted by TEAM’s Head of Consultancy, Timothy Holman.
The initial deadline for submitting the Energy Action Plan is set for 5 December 2024. However, an announcement from the Environment Agency states that they will extend the deadline for receiving such plans until 5 March 2025.
What exactly should be included in the Energy Action Plan?
The primary objective of the Action Plan is to serve as a strategic roadmap for organisations to implement specific energy-saving measures tailored to their operations. This will not only enhance their energy efficiency but also enable them to progress towards achieving their sustainability objectives. These measures can range from upgrading equipment to streamlining processes and fostering behavioural changes within the organisation.
By establishing a precise implementation timeline, organisations can prioritise projects and chart their course towards meeting energy-saving targets. Additionally, they must outline the projected cost and energy savings resulting from their energy efficiency endeavours, facilitating better planning for carbon reduction.
Furthermore, organisations are required to consistently monitor and report their progress to the Environment Agency annually to ensure alignment with the projects outlined in the Action Plan.
