Believ Certified Carbon Neutral in UK

Believ, a leading charge point operator, has achieved Carbon Neutral Britain accreditation, showcasing the company’s commitment to building a sustainable future.
By partnering with the UK carbon offsetting initiative, Believ has taken a significant step towards measuring and offsetting its direct and indirect emissions resulting from its business operations. This move aligns with the company’s goal of promoting environmental responsibility and reducing its carbon footprint.
Moreover, Believ has also fulfilled the requirements of the ISO 14064 greenhouse gases certification and GHG Protocol Emissions standard. These certifications underscore Believ’s adherence to best practices in curbing greenhouse gas emissions by accurately reporting direct and indirect emissions associated with its business and broader operations.
During a thorough 12-month assessment, Believ identified that the majority (78%) of its emissions stem from Scope 3 emissions, primarily originating from staff commuting to and from work. Additionally, energy consumption from remote work locations was factored in to accommodate the rise of hybrid working models, ultimately contributing to the overall business emissions total.
Interestingly, only 2% of Believ’s total emissions are attributed to the company’s direct impact on the environment. This statistic underscores Believ’s emphasis on embedding sustainability practices throughout all facets of its business operations, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to environmental stewardship.
Guy Bartlett, CEO at Believ, expressed pride in the accreditation, stating, “This achievement underscores our organization’s unwavering commitment to sustainability in every aspect of our operations.”
He further emphasised, “By attaining carbon neutrality, we can provide assurance to our partners that they are engaging with a supplier that prioritises environmental concerns across our entire supply chain, as we strive to deliver cleaner air for all.”
