Caledonia’s board sees new chair and vice chair.
Exciting News at Caledonia Housing Association!
The Caledonia Housing Association recently made significant changes to its board, appointing a new chair and vice chair following its Annual General Meeting.
Allan Jones, a former board member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, has been elected as the new chair of the management board, taking over from the previous chair, Tim Goddard. Allan Jones brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been a member of the Caledonia management board since 2021. He previously served as vice chair and chair of the Group Audit and Risk Management Committee, and is currently a member of the Group Development Committee.
With over 25 years of experience in the housing sector, Allan Jones is a transformation programme manager for Aberdeenshire Council. His extensive knowledge of homelessness and the challenges facing tenants in social housing make him a valuable addition to the leadership team at Caledonia Housing Association.
Joining Allan Jones is Derek Robertson, who has been elected as the new vice chair of the board. Derek brings with him extensive senior management experience from working in the UK charity sector, where he has led six charities as chief executive. Derek now operates his own consultancy, supporting non-profit and charitable organisations with business development, sustainability, and transformational change.
Allan Jones expressed his excitement about the new role, stating, “This is a critical time for the social housing sector, and I look forward to working with the board and senior leadership team to help Caledonia Housing Association meet the needs of its current and future tenants. We are committed to building homes and communities that our tenants can be proud to live in.”
With the appointment of Allan Jones as chair and Derek Robertson as vice chair, Caledonia Housing Association is gearing up for a new chapter of growth and achievement. The leadership team is dedicated to serving the community and creating a positive impact on the lives of their tenants.
