Data platform Kraken, a leading end-to-end cloud, data, and AI platform for utility digitalisation and transformation, has inked a significant deal to enter the lucrative American energy sector.
The five-year contract, signed with Champion Energy Services, one of the prominent electricity service providers in North America, marks Kraken’s ambitious foray into the North American market.
Under the agreement, Champion Energy Services will license Kraken’s cutting-edge demand flexibility solution and customer service platform. The company will initiate the onboarding process of its residential customers in Texas to Kraken’s state-of-the-art energy management system, slated to kick-off in 2025.
It’s worth noting that these developments will have no impact on Champion’s customer service quality or lead to any additional fees for its residential customers.
In a statement, Amir Orad, the Chief Executive Officer of Kraken, expressed his enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating, “We’re thrilled to sustain our positive progression in North America by collaborating with an exceptional partner like Champion. Together, our organisations are spearheading a positive, enduring transformation for customers in Texas. We are showcasing how intelligent grid solutions can significantly enhance the way customers consume and manage their energy – all while ensuring utmost user-friendliness.”
Kraken currently oversees more than 50 million accounts, managing over 40 GW of power and over 250,000 consumer devices like electric cars and charging stations.
