Falkirk’s Landlord Forum Making a Comeback!
Falkirk’s Landlord and Letting Agent Forum is back and better than ever, set to take place on Wednesday, 2nd October 2024. This event, organised by Falkirk Council, promises landlords and agents a wealth of valuable updates, resources, and networking opportunities.
The free forum will be hosted at Falkirk Stadium from 4 pm to 7 pm for those attending in person, while virtual attendees can join the event online from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Those attending in person can look forward to a bustling session filled with stalls and networking opportunities. This will give landlords and letting agents the chance to engage with various services such as Home Energy Scotland, Safe Deposit Scotland, and the Homeless Prevention Team. Here they can receive practical advice on topics ranging from energy efficiency to rental support schemes.
The agenda is packed with key presentations, including a talk by John Blackwood of the Scottish Association of Landlords. Updates on the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) and insights from Falkirk Council’s Private Sector Housing team will also be featured.
For virtual attendees, the focus will be solely on these informative presentations, ensuring all participants receive the same valuable insights.
An essential focus of the forum is to keep landlords and letting agents well-informed on the latest regulations and support systems. This knowledge empowers them to meet their legal and ethical responsibilities effectively.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions, network with peers, and directly engage with Falkirk Council’s Housing Team.
Councillor Cecil Meiklejohn, the leader of Falkirk Council, emphasised the importance of the forum, stating: “This event provides landlords and agents with the valuable opportunity to stay informed and receive practical support from numerous agencies operating in the sector.”
She further added, “By keeping everyone updated on regulations and available resources, we can collaborate to ensure a high standard of housing across Falkirk.”
Registration is mandatory for both in-person and virtual attendance. To learn more about the agenda or to sign up, visit the forum’s official website.
