New Study Reveals Homebuyers Place High Value on Sustainability

A recent survey conducted by the renowned homebuilders, Pye Homes, has shed light on the shifting priorities of homebuyers, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and community integration.

According to the poll conducted among Pye Homes’ customers and prospective buyers, an overwhelming 98 per cent expressed the importance of feeling connected to a community. Surprisingly, over a third (34 per cent) of respondents ranked energy-efficient features as a crucial factor in their home search process, rating it higher than the presence of a garden (24 per cent) or parking space (17 per cent).

When determining their ideal home, participants placed sustainability just below location (96 per cent), affordability (57 per cent), and the number of rooms (56 per cent) in terms of importance.

Graham Flint, the Managing Director at Pye Homes, shared his thoughts on the survey findings, stating, ‘This survey provides valuable insights and emphasises the significance of constructing homes that not only protect the environment but also foster strong communities. It’s gratifying to receive this feedback, as both these aspects are at the core of Pye Homes’ ethos.’

As part of their commitment to sustainability, Pye Homes is currently developing the Church Farm project, which exemplifies their dedication to environmental stewardship.
