Hyundai to share hydrogen tech with Skoda in new partnership
The collaboration between Hyundai Motor Company and Škoda Group marks a significant step towards the advancement of hydrogen technology and energy-efficient solutions for sustainable mobility. At the Korea-Czech Republic Business Summit in Prague, the MOU was sealed, solidifying the commitment of both Hyundai and Škoda to work together on studying and implementing hydrogen fuel cell systems for various applications beyond just transportation. The aim is to leverage the potential of hydrogen as a key element in building a sustainable society, with a particular emphasis on mobility solutions.
Ken Ramírez, executive vice president and head of global commercial vehicle and hydrogen business at Hyundai Motor Company, expressed the company’s vision for accelerating hydrogen adoption through the partnership with Škoda Group. He highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing hydrogen technology and achieving carbon neutrality on a global scale. Together, the two companies seek to lead the way in the rapidly expanding hydrogen market, leveraging the strengths of Hyundai’s fuel cell technology and Škoda Group’s expertise in mobility solutions.
