New Land and Special Projects Director Appointed by Avant
Avant Homes Scotland, based in Edinburgh, has welcomed a new addition to its team as it gears up for further expansion in the country. Iain Allison, with 35 years of experience in the housebuilding industry and a background in senior roles at Bellway and Taylor Wimpey, has been appointed as the land and special projects director.
Allison’s main responsibility is to build upon Avant Homes Scotland’s existing land acquisition programme, which has seen significant success this year. Notable projects include the £44 million Stewart’s Quarter development in Rosyth, consisting of 170 new homes, and the £31 million Thistle Meadows development in Tranent, comprising 92 homes. Both developments are progressing well, with homes already available for sale.
Another upcoming project is the Craignethan Gate development in Glenboig, set to deliver 31 homes with a gross development value of £9 million. This site is scheduled for a sales release in October.
Currently, Avant Homes Scotland has nine active developments across the country, from Craigowl Law in Dundee to Draffen Park in Stewarton.
Expressing his excitement about the new role, Iain Allison stated, “We are highly involved in the residential development land market in Scotland and, despite having a strong pipeline of sites, we are eager to secure more. Scotland is a key market for Avant Homes, offering ample opportunities, and we believe we have the perfect range of energy-efficient homes for buyers here.”
He added, “I lead a dynamic land team that is eager to identify more development sites so we can continue to deliver on our vision of providing quality homes for everyone.”
Jim Wilkinson, the managing director of Avant Homes Scotland, commented, “Iain’s wealth of experience, knowledge, and industry connections make him the ideal fit for this role. Under his leadership, our land team is actively pursuing several exciting deals, combining speed with commercial savvy to secure positive outcomes that will support our ongoing growth.”
