New Dacia Duster Hybrid Available for Less than £19k!
The eagerly awaited brand-new Dacia Duster SUV has finally arrived in the UK, with prices starting from £18,745. This third generation of the beloved Duster promises to continue its legacy of offering exceptional value for money while also taking a leap in design, comfort, and technology.
Constructed on the Renault Group’s cutting-edge CMF-B platform, shared with models like the Dacia Jogger and Sandero, the new Duster boasts enhanced interior space and comfort. Despite being a similar length to its predecessor, the new platform allows for increased passenger and luggage room. Boot space has been expanded from 442 litres to a generous 472 litres for the 4×2 version. Additionally, the Duster now features a new roof rack capable of carrying up to 80kg, easily attaching to the adaptable roof bars.
Thanks to the advanced platform, the latest Duster offers reduced road noise and vibrations for a smoother driving experience. The enhanced dynamic performance results in improved stability, making cornering more precise with minimal body roll.
Off-road enthusiasts will be delighted to hear that the new Duster offers increased capabilities, with ground clearance of up to 217mm, impressive approach and departure angles of 31 and 36 degrees, and a state-of-the-art 4×4 Terrain Control that offers a selection of five modes based on the driving conditions. Moreover, a new Hill Descent Control feature automatically regulates speed during steep descents for added safety.
The adoption of the CMF-B platform has also opened doors to new hybrid powertrains. The Hybrid 140, familiar from the Jogger and Renault Clio, features a combination of a 94hp 1.6-litre petrol engine, two electric motors, and a clutchless gearbox. This full hybrid system, coupled with an automatic gearbox, can operate in all-electric mode up to 80% of the time in urban settings, reducing fuel consumption by up to 40% on city roads.
Additionally, the lineup includes the TCe 130 mild hybrid, pairing a three-cylinder 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V motor to assist during acceleration and reduce fuel consumption and emissions by approximately 10%. This version is available with a six-speed manual gearbox and options for both two- and four-wheel drive.
For those interested in LPG technology, Dacia offers the TCe 100 Bi-Fuel powertrain, boasting a range of over 800 miles due to its dual 50-litre tanks. An easy-to-use switch between petrol and LPG enables eco-friendly driving, with the bi-fuel Duster emitting around 10% less CO2 compared to petrol engines.
Customers can choose from four trim levels – Essential, Expression, Journey, and Extreme. Standard features across all versions include air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and a range of advanced driver assistance systems, including Dacia’s innovative My Safety button for quick access to preferred settings.
One unique feature is Dacia’s YouClip system, allowing drivers to attach accessories like a tablet stand in designated areas in the car. Essential trim, priced from £18,745, includes a host of features such as Y-shaped LED lighting, roof bars, tinted windows, electric windows, adjustable steering wheel, air conditioning, automatic central locking, and Dacia’s Media Control system.
Safety is a top priority in the Duster, with six airbags, cruise control, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, emergency braking system, vehicle dynamic control, and hill start assist standard across all trims.
Stepping up to the Expression trim, starting at £21,245, adds stylish touches like body-coloured door handles, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic wipers, rear electric windows, digital driver display, adaptive hill descent control, rear camera, and a 10.1-inch multimedia screen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Journey trim level enhances the experience with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, front fog lights, blind-spot warning, Multiview camera, integrated navigation, and a wireless phone charger. Prices begin at £22,945 for this well-equipped variant.
For those seeking the pinnacle of luxury, the Extreme trim starts from £23,745, offering premium features like 18-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, heated seats, lumbar adjustment, six-way adjustable front passenger seat, and eye-catching copper accents throughout.
