Join Social Bite’s 100 Mile Challenge to tackle homelessness.

Join the movement to end homelessness and make a difference with Social Bite’s 100 Mile Challenge! This year, the homelessness charity is calling on all individuals to hop, skip, jump, run, or squat their way to breaking the cycle of homelessness. The challenge kicks off on 1st September and runs until 10th October, coinciding with World Homeless Day.
Participants from all over the UK have the freedom to choose how they cover 100 miles in 40 days. Whether it’s cycling, running, swimming, or even completing the miles in fancy dress or as a three-legged race, the goal is to raise funds to support Social Bite’s initiatives in housing, job creation, and providing food to those affected by homelessness.
So far, many challengers have already signed up, each with their unique approach to achieving their mileage target. Some are taking the traditional route of running or cycling, while others are showcasing their creativity by forming words like ‘Social Bite’ on the Strava app route.
All funds raised through the challenge will directly benefit individuals in need, contributing to Social Bite’s free food service available at various coffee shops in Scotland. The proceeds will also support the development of Social Bite Villages in South Lanarkshire and Dundee.
Josh Littlejohn MBE, the founder of Social Bite, expressed his excitement for the 100 Mile Challenge, stating, “It’s a fantastic opportunity for people to make a tangible impact by raising essential funds in a fun and flexible manner. Whether you take on the challenge solo, with friends, or colleagues, we can’t wait to see how you choose to complete your 100 miles.”
Participants can unlock rewards for reaching fundraising milestones, ranging from t-shirts and tote bags to shout-outs and special mentions from the charity. Social Bite encourages challengers to document their journey through social media, email updates, and fundraising platforms.
