Blythswood flats approved for development

A block of six flats is set to be constructed on a vacant site in the Blythswood area of Glasgow city centre, bringing a touch of luxury and urban living to the heart of the city. Videre Developments, in collaboration with Axis Mason Architects, put forth the proposals earlier this year for a site at the junction of Sauchiehall Lane and Blythswood Street, and the local authority has now given the green light for the project to proceed.

The vision behind this development is to create a dynamic and inviting living space where residents can truly thrive. The block will house six homes, with a primary focus on providing a high standard of urban living. Each apartment will feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating up to four individuals. The design prioritises a dual-aspect layout for each apartment, ensuring ample natural light and a sense of spaciousness.

Five of the apartments will boast private external amenity spaces, while the top-floor residence will have direct access to the roof level and a large private terrace, perfect for enjoying panoramic views of the city skyline. Inside, the apartments will offer generous open-plan living areas, allowing for flexible layouts and the creation of a home office space for remote working.

In addition to the individual apartment features, residents will have access to a ground-floor gym for their fitness needs, further enhancing the quality of life within the development. The overall aim is to establish a vibrant residential community in a prime city location, where modern amenities and thoughtful design come together to offer an exceptional living experience.
