Eden Homes plans to build 150 new houses by 2026.

Eden Homes, a subsidiary of Edison Capital, is making waves in the housing industry with plans to construct over 150 new homes in Scotland’s west central belt by 2026. This ambitious project comes with a gross development value of £64 million, showcasing a significant investment in the region’s property market.

As the housebuilding arm of Edison Capital, a prominent Ayrshire-based private family investment office with diverse interests, Eden Homes is already making strides with 53 units currently under development. The company is also expanding its operations by opening a new office in Manchester next month, demonstrating a commitment to growth and innovation.

In addition to the ongoing projects, Eden Homes is actively seeking new land for further housing developments throughout Scotland. The company is gearing up to announce a groundbreaking 36-home building project in West Lothian, anticipated to be its largest development to date with a GDV of £19 million.

Calum Melville, the CEO of Edison Capital, expressed the company’s dedication to delivering high-quality homes with each project undertaken. Despite challenges faced by the sector, including legislative hurdles imposed by the Scottish Government, the team at Eden Homes remains committed to meeting the demand for housing in the region.

Reflecting on the current housing crisis in Scotland, Melville highlighted the urgent need for more homes to accommodate families, couples, single individuals, and students. He called on national authorities to address the housing emergency and provide necessary support to the industry for sustainable growth.

Principal Building, the construction arm of Edison Capital, is playing a pivotal role in the development of Eden Homes projects as part of a substantial £50 million agreement. With current initiatives spanning across South Ayrshire, East Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, and South Lanarkshire, the collaboration between these entities is set to redefine the housing landscape in the region.

Neil Crombie, managing director of Principal Building, expressed his enthusiasm for working with Eden Homes to deliver much-needed quality homes in the west central belt of Scotland. The partnership between these organisations signifies a shared vision for excellence in construction and a commitment to meeting the growing demand for housing solutions.
