New Dundee site open for development

A prime development site located next to the highly anticipated Eden Project in Dundee is now up for grabs, thanks to CBRE acting on behalf of Nynas UK.
The property on East Dock Street covers around 8.9 acres and features a former oil refinery facility that has been dormant for a decade. The secure site is mostly covered in concrete and is nestled next to the Port of Dundee, boasting multiple entry points to the A92. With its versatile zoning, the development site presents a multitude of potential uses.
Craig Semple, the director at CBRE Scotland, expressed, “This presents a fantastic chance to enhance Dundee’s urban landscape. The city is experiencing a significant surge in investments and urban renewal, particularly around the £1 billion waterfront revitalization project. The recent approval for the Eden Project to commence construction on East Dock Street adds even more excitement. We anticipate a high level of interest in this site and eagerly await discussions with potential buyers.”
The Eden Project, with an estimated value of £130 million, has recently obtained official permission from the city council (source: Scottish Construction News). The project is slated to evolve into a cutting-edge sustainable tourism attraction, boasting top-notch horticultural displays and immersive experiences for its visitors.
