Miller Homes acquires land in West Dumbarton.

Miller Homes has recently secured a 13-acre site on Cardross Road in Dumbarton, where they plan to build Chapel Gardens – a housing development consisting of 81 energy-efficient homes. The location has a rich history, previously being home to a monastery and more recently, the Notre Dame School and St Michaels Primary School. While these buildings have been demolished, the new development will retain many of the mature trees and landscaping that existed on the site.
Chapel Gardens will offer a variety of three, four, and five-bedroom homes, constructed using a mix of brick and render materials, supplemented by Hardie Plank to create a maritime ambiance reflecting the development’s proximity to the Firth of Clyde.
This project follows Miller Homes’ successful completion of Garshake Gardens in Dumbarton and marks their fourth venture in West Dunbartonshire in recent years, joining Braidfields, Millerbank, and Garshake Gardens.
Expressing his excitement for the new development, Andrew McArthur, the regional operations director for Miller Homes Scotland West, stated, “West Dunbartonshire is becoming an increasingly popular choice for families seeking a new home. The area offers a perfect blend of suburban living, excellent transport links by road and rail, and a range of local amenities and recreational options including Loch Lomond, making it an attractive location for prospective residents. Thanks to our land team’s expertise, we have secured an ideal site to establish vibrant new communities.”
Construction has already commenced at Chapel Gardens, with homes available for pre-reservation expected in late summer.
