Volkswagen has just announced the launch of the highly anticipated ID.7 GTX and ID.7 GTX Tourer models, available for order at any Volkswagen UK Retailer starting from Thursday 1 August. The starting prices for these cutting-edge electric vehicles are set at £61,980 for the ID.7 GTX and £62,670 for the ID.7 GTX Tourer.
What sets these new GTX models apart is their enhanced performance thanks to dual-motor technology and striking dynamic exterior styling. With the addition of a front motor, these GTX models boast a power increase of 54PS, reaching an impressive 340PS. Additionally, the inclusion of 4MOTION all-wheel drive makes this the first time such a feature is available on the ID.7 and ID.7 Tourer, elevating their performance to a whole new level.
The ID.7 GTX claims the title of the most powerful electric vehicle from Volkswagen, capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds. On the other hand, the ID.7 GTX Tourer achieves the same sprint in 5.5 seconds but offers a generous 605 litres of luggage space with five occupants on board.
When it comes to range, both models impress with a WLTP all-electric range of 366 miles for the ID.7 GTX and 359 miles for the ID.7 GTX Tourer. Moreover, these cars can be rapidly charged at up to 200kW DC, allowing a quick boost from 10 to 80% battery capacity in just 26 minutes.
The new GTX models come with an array of enticing features, surpassing the Pro Match trim. This includes 20-inch Skagen alloy wheels, striking GTX exterior styling, ventilated and heated massage seats in the front, heated rear seats, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, and Volkswagen’s innovative DCC adaptive chassis control system with driving profile selection.
Not to mention, standard features such as IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights with illuminated Volkswagen logos, unique GTX daytime running lights, an augmented-reality head-up display, and GTX-specific interior styling truly set these models apart. Additionally, the inclusion of Volkswagen’s IDA voice assistant with integrated ChatGPT and Park Assist Pro, which enables parking control using a smartphone, further enhance the futuristic and convenient aspects of these vehicles.
