Cassiltoun marks 40th anniversary at tenants’ conference

Cassiltoun Housing Association recently marked its 40th anniversary at the Tenants’ Conference held on 11th July. The event, graced by the chair and founder member Anna Stuart MBE, provided a platform for tenants to engage with the association’s staff, share feedback, and contribute ideas to enhance services.

Attendees had the opportunity to interact with various departments, ask questions, and suggest improvements or new services they would like to see implemented. The corporate team was also present to educate tenants on becoming more involved in the association’s activities, such as becoming a share member or serving on the board.

Moreover, the Tenants’ Conference offered a range of entertaining activities for tenants and children to enjoy. These included stand-up bingo, a raffle, 1980s games in collaboration with Glasgow Museums, an owl encounter with Owl Magic, face painting, arts and crafts, outdoor games, and delectable food alongside a specially made 40th-anniversary cake.

Participants also had the chance to learn about the Community Advisory Panel, Youth Advisory Panel, and volunteering opportunities, as well as discover the diverse community programmes available at Castlemilk Stables.

A spokesperson for Cassiltoun expressed gratitude for the valuable feedback received during the event, emphasising that tenant participation remains a core focus in shaping the association’s future initiatives.
