Coming from a background as the head of light commercial vehicles at Nissan, Tschann brings a wealth of experience to his new role at B–ON as the company looks to expand its reach across Europe with a range of innovative vehicles and tools.
Starting on 1 July, Tschann wasted no time in getting to work, leading a series of ride and drive events from 2 to 10 July. These events saw B–ON showcasing its all-electric Pelkan light commercial vehicle (eLCV) to selected customers and media in Hilden, Germany, followed by Verona, Italy. Attendees not only had the chance to explore the Pelkan but also got hands-on demonstrations of B–ON’s comprehensive ecosystem of fleet and energy management services, providing a complete solution for electrifying medium and large fleets.
With over two decades of experience in the global automotive industry, Tschann has held various key roles in marketing, sales, network development, product definition, and product launch. His journey began at Nissan in 2001, where he played a pivotal role in launching the Infiniti luxury brand in Europe before moving on to lead Nissan’s commercial vehicle division in Europe, showcasing his strategic leadership capabilities.
Joining B–ON at a crucial juncture, Tschann steps into his new role following the company’s strategic partnership announcement with Chery, a global automaker. This partnership will see the development, production, and sale of low-cost electric commercial vehicles through a joint venture. With B–ON gaining access to Chery’s resources in manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering, and Chery benefitting from B–ON’s established network in Europe and North America, the collaboration is set to drive significant growth for both companies.
“Nicolas’ extensive experience and his connections in Europe and China will undoubtedly add immense value to our team as we strive to expand our business,” said Bruno Lambert, CEO, and co-founder of B–ON. “His arrival coincides perfectly with the European debut of our cost-effective Pelkan, setting the stage for an exciting summer ahead for B–ON.”
Excited about the journey ahead, Tschann commented, “B–ON offers a unique proposition with its state-of-the-art software suite and a reliable electric van that is not only high-quality but also competitively priced. I am thrilled to be part of the team driving forward our market-leading commercial fleet solutions to new heights.”
