Ex-Campion Homes Boss Marjorie Scott Dies

Long-standing former director of Campion Homes Marjorie Scott has sadly passed away. The Scottish housing developer made the announcement on LinkedIn, stating that Ms Scott had been “an integral member of the Campion Homes family since our inception in 1989.”

Marjorie’s professional journey began with a decade of dedicated service in a Chartered Accountants practice. In 1989, she supported Pete Bell and George Cruickshank in founding Campion Homes. Over the years, her role within the business expanded, and in 2000, she was appointed as the financial director. Her leadership and financial expertise played a crucial role in shaping the company’s growth and success.

Throughout her time at Campion Homes, Marjorie’s unwavering commitment and passion were evident in every aspect of her work. In her later years, she served as a director with a particular focus on private development sales. Marjorie was renowned throughout the company for her meticulous attention to detail, with her snagging lists becoming the stuff of legend.

Marjorie’s innate design flair shone through when it came to furnishing the various showhomes to an exceptional standard. Her insistence on attention to detail and refusal to compromise on quality and workmanship have become an integral part of Marjorie’s legacy at Campion Homes.

Marjorie will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her warmth, kindness, and the lasting impact she had on her colleagues and friends. She took a personal interest in everyone she worked with, always making sure to celebrate office birthdays with a cake, acknowledge the birth of colleagues’ children, and recognise all staff achievements. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family and friends during this challenging time.
