New Electric Cupra Born VZ Hot Hatch Available for Order

Cupra has officially opened orders for its high-performance Born VZ electric car, which is now available starting from a price of £44,625.
The Cupra Born VZ boasts an impressive 326hp of power and 545Nm of torque.
The latest iteration of Cupra’s inaugural fully electric model sets a new benchmark with up to 326hp of power and 545Nm of torque – a significant 75% increase over any other Born version.
This electric hot hatch accelerates from 0 to 62mph in just 5.6 seconds, showcasing its exceptional performance capabilities. The top speed has also been elevated and is now capped at 124mph.
What makes the Born VZ stand out even more is its enhanced powertrain coupled with improved chassis dynamics, thanks to the inclusion of DCC Sport suspension.
In addition to its impressive performance, the Born VZ comes equipped with a larger 79kWh battery pack which allows for a WLTP range of up to an impressive 372 miles. Moreover, it is capable of rapid recharging at up to 185kW via a DC charging point, enabling a fast charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes.
Not stopping there, the Born VZ showcases an upgraded interior featuring new Enceladus Grey Cup bucket seats as standard, along with a high-quality Sennheiser Premium Audio sound system. On the exterior, the model flaunts striking 20-inch ‘Thunderstorm’ alloy wheels and introduces the exclusive option of a sleek Dark Forest paint finish.
Furthermore, the Born VZ receives a tech-savvy upgrade with features like keyless entry (KESSY advanced), Car 2X intelligent vehicle networking, and a wireless phone charger, all provided as standard.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the latest model, Marcus Gossen, director of SEAT and Cupra UK, stated: “The Cupra Born has proven to be an incredibly popular model, and we are thrilled with the impact it has had as our first all-electric offering. At Cupra, we continuously push the boundaries to surpass expectations, and the Born VZ embodies that ethos perfectly. With increased power and enhanced refinement, it further elevates the strengths of an already outstanding car.”
Earlier this year, Cupra made headlines by slashing prices for its Born electric hatch, in addition to streamlining the trim and battery options. The entry-level Born is now available from £35,165, making it even more accessible to electric car enthusiasts.
