Share your views on West Dunbartonshire plans

Residents in West Dunbartonshire are being given a unique chance to voice their opinions through two essential surveys that aim to enhance the area.

The Tell Us About Your Place survey provides an avenue for residents and individuals interested in West Dunbartonshire to share their feedback on what’s functioning well in their neighbourhood, what holds significance to them, and suggest improvements concerning homes, recreation, access to nature, transport, and services.

The insights gained will assist West Dunbartonshire Council in comprehending how effectively the region is catering to its residents, influencing a variety of plans and services over the forthcoming decade.

Concurrently, the Call for Evidence survey seeks feedback, data, and ideas regarding specific locations and subjects to contribute towards shaping a new Local Development Plan.

This plan serves as a crucial instrument in overseeing West Dunbartonshire’s evolution in the forthcoming decade, encompassing the development of new residences, businesses, and public spaces.

Both surveys are open to all, irrespective of residency, though individuals residing, working, or visiting West Dunbartonshire are especially encouraged to participate in the Tell Us About Your Place survey.

Community groups, businesses, and other organisations with an interest in land usage in West Dunbartonshire are encouraged to respond to the Call for Evidence survey.

Councillor Lawrence O’Neill, the Convener of planning, emphasised, “These two consultations play a vital role in shaping the future of West Dunbartonshire.

“The council is dedicated to meeting the needs of West Dunbartonshire’s residents, workers, and visitors, making it essential for individuals to engage with these meaningful surveys.

“The insights gathered will aid us in our future planning for West Dunbartonshire.”

Councillor Gurpreet Singh Johal, the Vice Convener of planning, voiced, “Our aim is to grasp the priorities of our residents, community groups, businesses, and visitors to West Dunbartonshire accurately. Hence, we urge as many residents as possible to partake in this consultation.”

The surveys will remain open for participation until September 30th.
