Avant unveils 256-home project in Cairneyhill

Avant Homes Scotland has unveiled exciting details about their upcoming project to build a £68 million multi-tenure development consisting of 256 new homes in Cairneyhill, West Fife. The proposed development, named Keelyside View, will be situated on a spacious 26.2-acre site just off Sunnyside Road.

This impressive project will offer a diverse range of housing options, including two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom homes. Avant Homes plans to incorporate 13 of their innovative, energy-efficient house designs into Keelyside View, featuring terraced, semi-detached, detached homes, and townhouses.

While the pricing for the properties has not been disclosed yet, a quarter of the 256 homes have been designated for affordable housing, demonstrating Avant Homes’ commitment to creating inclusive communities.

The development plans were submitted at the end of May, with construction set to begin in May of next year if permission is granted. The first residents are expected to move into their new homes by early 2026, marking the start of a vibrant new community in Cairneyhill.

Jim Wilkinson, the managing director of Avant Homes Scotland, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting Cairneyhill’s appealing location near the coast, close proximity to Dunfermline, and convenient access to Edinburgh. He emphasised that Keelyside View will embody Avant Homes’ dedication to delivering high-quality homes in sought-after locations.

Wilkinson added, “Our proposed multi-tenure development features a mix of practically designed, energy efficient house types that will appeal to first-time buyers, families, second steppers, and downsizers. We are excited for Fife Council to review our plans and bring this vision to life.”
