UK businesses unite for Forth Road Bridge Race

The Pitreavie AAC Forth Road Bridge 10K Race has received a significant boost towards success thanks to generous sponsorship from two prominent housing organisations – Campion Homes and Kingdom Housing Association, along with Benji Physio Services.
The Forth Road Bridge, one of three iconic bridges in the River Forth, opened in 1964 and was once considered one of the world’s most significant long-span suspension bridges, drawing comparisons to the renowned Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Participating in the race offers runners a unique experience, with many considering it a ‘bucket list’ event due to the stunning views it provides. While not necessarily aiming for personal bests, runners appreciate the opportunity to run across this impressive bridge.
Campbell Blair, the Pitreavie AAC race director, expressed gratitude towards Campion Homes, Kingdom Housing Association, and Benji for their support of the event. He highlighted the upcoming race on Sunday, 18th August, which has already sold out due to its popularity.
Blair noted, “We are fortunate to have Benji and his team of physiotherapists nearby, who have helped numerous runners recover from injuries, enabling them to participate in the race. Pitreavie AAC remains an integral part of the community, and we are thrilled to have all three sponsors standing with us.”
Susan Jackson, joint managing director of Campion Homes, expressed pride in supporting the Forth Road Bridge race, describing the bridge as one of the country’s most iconic views. She highlighted Campion Homes’ commitment to investing in the local area and supporting community events.
Jackson added, “I wish all the runners the best of luck in the race, and I am confident that your dedication will inspire others to join the running community.”
Calum Kippen, director of governance, risk, and performance at Kingdom Housing Association, oversees the team responsible for the Community Initiatives Fund, which provided the sponsorship donation for the race.
He stated, “At the Kingdom Group, our mission goes beyond providing homes. Through initiatives like the Community Initiatives Fund, we aim to support events such as the Forth Road Bridge 10k, fostering thriving communities. Collaboration with local partners allows us to make a greater impact, and I am pleased that Kingdom, Campion Homes, and Benji could support Pitreavie AAC and the Forth Road Bridge race. I wish all participants the best of luck.”
