myenergi partners with Good Energy.

myenergi, a smart home energy tech firm, has made a bold move by switching its energy supply for its business operations to 100% renewable electricity provider, Good Energy.

By transitioning its energy supplier to Good Energy, myenergi is ensuring that its headquarters and manufacturing facilities will be powered by 100% renewable electricity through Good Energy’s extensive network of over 2,500 generators, covering 90% of the time. This shift to renewable power purchase agreements (PPAs) will not only enable myenergi to operate sustainably but also allow the company to leverage insights to manage and reduce its carbon footprint.

Specialising in empowering customers to optimise their energy consumption, myenergi offers innovative solutions like its smart EV charger, the ‘Zappi’. This technology allows electric vehicle drivers to charge their vehicles during times when the grid is operating on lower carbon intensity, promoting greener practices.

Good Energy’s hourly matching service will further support myenergi in aligning its energy usage with environmentally friendly principles, ensuring that the company’s operations are as sustainable as possible.

Building on their existing partnership, Good Energy is not only myenergi’s energy provider but also an installer of myenergi’s Zappi EV chargers and ‘eddi’ hot water controllers, in addition to offering solar, storage, and heat pump installation services.

Tom Parsons, the director of sales and origination at Good Energy, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating:

“As an innovative business that helps customers reduce their carbon footprint by adjusting their energy consumption patterns at home, myenergi recognises the significance of energy data and demand flexibility.

“By supplying myenergi’s headquarters and manufacturing operations with hourly-matched renewables, Good Energy is embodying the circular approach needed to reduce carbon emissions across all industries. Our partnership with myenergi sets an example for others to follow as we work towards achieving net zero emissions together.”

CEO of myenergi, Carl Allen, highlighted the strategic alignment between the two companies, stating:

“With a shared commitment to clean energy and renewable power, Good Energy is the perfect partner for our energy supply needs. By monitoring our electricity usage in real-time and seeing how it corresponds to Good Energy’s renewable generator output, we can lead by example and actively support the transition towards sustainable energy for our customers.”

This collaboration between myenergi and Good Energy signifies a concerted effort towards sustainability and innovation in the clean energy sector, setting a positive precedent for businesses aiming to reduce their environmental impact and contribute to the global shift towards renewable energy.
