Majority of BEV drivers prefer not to switch to ICE cars
The latest research has revealed an overwhelming trend among BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) drivers – the vast majority are strongly committed to sticking with electric vehicles and shunning combustion-powered ones for good.
The study conducted by the esteemed Fully Charged Show disclosed that a staggering 93% of fully electric car drivers have no intentions of going back to traditional vehicles, with an impressive 99% recommending the switch to BEVs.
Released on the day of the UK’s general election, the survey also highlighted that 92% of participants feel that governments are falling short in boosting BEV sales. Moreover, a significant 95% voiced their concerns about mainstream media unfairly portraying their experiences.
This groundbreaking study examined the feedback of nearly 9,000 BEV owners/drivers hailing from the UK, North America, Australia, Europe, and beyond.
Among the intriguing findings, it was discovered that over half (59%) of drivers disclosed that transitioning to BEVs led them to switch from their traditionally favored car brand – and out of those, 55% identified their new brand as the top choice.
Furthermore, the overall sentiment echoed findings from previous surveys conducted by reputable organizations like Zapmap and EVA England, emphasizing that over 90% of BEV owners have no plans of reverting back to Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles.
CEO of the Fully Charged Show, Dan Caesar, commented on the results, stating: “Despite economic uncertainties, political factors, and misinformation in certain regions causing some hesitance among consumers, the undeniable truth remains that once individuals test drive and purchase BEVs, they overwhelmingly perceive them as superior to their predecessors. The rapidly expanding availability of affordable new and used electric vehicles only solidifies the continuous growth of this sector.”
