Ilene Campbell wins ‘Professional of the Year’ at Women in Housing Awards 2024.

Ilene Campbell, chief executive at the Tenants Information Service (TIS), has been awarded the prestigious title of Professional of the Year at the Women in Housing Awards 2024. Her unwavering dedication and commitment to steering TIS towards becoming the leading organisation in Scotland focused on housing, community development, and engagement practices earned her this well-deserved recognition.

With over 20 successful years as chief executive of TIS, Ms. Campbell has witnessed and contributed to major developments across the housing landscape. Her leadership has had a profound impact on many individuals, and her relentless efforts to protect vital tenants’ rights and foster resilient communities are evident.

The Women in Housing judges panel commended Ilene for her focus on tenant involvement and customer participation, stating that her drive has catalysed positive change across various projects. She is truly an inspiration for women in the housing sector, leading the way with her passion and vision.

Furthermore, Alice Bovill, chair of the TIS board of directors, was also recognised as a finalist in the Lifetime Achievement in Housing category at the event. With an impressive 28 years of service on the TIS board, Alice has dedicated her time to improving housing and community services, setting a high standard for all those in the sector.
