New affordable homes coming to Winchburgh

Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has commenced the construction of 19 affordable homes in Winchburgh, comprising two and three-bedroom properties for social rent. These homes are part of the Seton Rise development, aligning with the broader masterplan for Winchburgh’s evolving community.
Phil Cooper, the land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Home in Scotland that has yielded 195 affordable homes across various developments. With projects in Winchburgh, East Calder, Ratho Station, and Maybury, the partnership aims to address housing needs in the region.
Cooper highlighted the company’s commitment to not only constructing new homes but also creating social, economic, and environmental value in the communities they serve. The current initiative of 19 affordable homes at Seton Rise underscores this commitment, contributing positively to Winchburgh.
Construction on the two and three-bedroom homes is progressing on schedule, with the anticipation of handing over the first completed properties to Home in Scotland by early next year.

Emphasising the importance of providing suitable housing options in the right locations, Brailey looks forward to the first residents moving in by early 2025.
