Sharp launches new solar modules NU-JC440 and NU-JC430B with upgraded wattage.

Sharp Energy Solutions Europe has recently unveiled its latest PV modules featuring rectangular n-Type TOPCon half-cut cell technology: the NU-JC440 and the NU-JC430B.

The NU-JC440 is a high-efficiency 440W n-Type TOPCon monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic panel that comes with a sleek black frame and a white backsheet. On the other hand, the all-black NU-JC430B is a 430W n-Type TOPCon monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic panel that features a black backsheet and a black frame.

When it comes to product reliability, both the NU-JC430B and the NU-JC440 panels are built with rectangular M10R (182.2mm*183.75mm) half-cells. These rectangular cells have different dimensions, resulting in improved performance.

Moreover, the incorporation of round ribbons in the 16-busbar technology reduces the panels’ susceptibility to microcracks and enhances overall module reliability.

Additionally, the panels are equipped with the MC4 connector to ensure compatibility with a wide range of optimisers and inverters that are popular in the market.

In terms of power output, the NU-JC440 boasts an impressive efficiency rating of 22.53% while the NU-JC430B comes with 22.02%. Both panels exhibit an excellent low-temperature coefficient of –0.300%/°C, significantly improving performance at elevated ambient temperatures, which is crucial due to the impact of climate change and rising temperatures.

Measuring at 1722 x 1134 mm with a slim 30 mm frame height, the NUJC440 and NU-JC430B weigh 20.7 kg, making them an ideal choice for easy installation in residential, small-scale commercial, and industrial rooftop systems with seamless integration. The panels’ adaptability to various mounting methods, including short and long frame side clamping, screwing, and sliding, allows for flexible assembly, ultimately leading to reduced balance of system and capital expenditure costs.

Each Sharp half-cell module is equipped with three compact junction boxes, each containing a bypass diode. This design minimises heat transfer to the cells above, improving panel durability and overall system performance.

Notably, the safety, quality, and durability of the NU-JC440 and NU-JC430B have been acknowledged through the award of IEC seals (IEC61215 and IEC61730). These panels have undergone rigorous testing to meet international standards and withstand extreme conditions, successfully passing tests for ammonia, salt mist, and PID resistance. Additionally, the panels have met the stringent EN13501 ‘reaction to fire’ test, demonstrating exceptional safety and reliability.

Furthermore, the NU-JC440 and the NU-JC430B are backed by Sharp’s 25-year EU end user product guarantee and a 30-year linear power output guarantee with a minimum of 87.5% in year 30, specifically valid for European rooftop installations.
