Avant Homes buys Glenboig site for £9m project.

Avant Homes Scotland has made an exciting acquisition in Glenboig, North Lanarkshire, securing a 2.42-acre site for a brand new development worth £9 million. The development, known as Craignethan Gate, is set to offer 31 homes featuring a variety of two-, three-, and four-bedroom layouts. The project, located off Glenboig Road, has already obtained planning permission and will showcase six of Avant Homes’ practical and energy-efficient house designs, including both semi-detached and detached homes.

As part of their commitment to the community, Avant Homes Scotland has pledged a substantial contribution of £250,000 to support local services in the area. Construction is scheduled to begin at Craignethan Gate in July, with the first homes expected to be available for sale by October. Prospective buyers can anticipate moving into their new residences by April of the following year.

This significant acquisition was facilitated by Edinburgh-based property consultancy Scarlett Land and Development, acting on behalf of the vendor. Notably, Craignethan Gate marks the second collaboration between Avant Homes Scotland and Scarlett Land and Development, following the successful acquisition of a 16.5-acre site in Rosyth.

Jim Wilkinson, the managing director of Avant Homes Scotland, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating: “Craignethan Gate presents us with a fantastic opportunity to offer the residents of Glenboig and its surrounding areas our sought-after range of practical, energy-efficient homes. Situated within the Seven Lochs Wetland Park and just a short distance from Glasgow, this development provides the perfect blend of urban convenience and rural charm.”

Wilkinson further emphasized the company’s dedication to providing quality housing for all demographics, with a focus on fostering vibrant communities across their developments. The diverse range of homes at Craignethan Gate caters to first-time buyers, families, and individuals looking to upgrade their living spaces.

Avant Homes Scotland currently boasts nine active developments across Edinburgh, ranging from Craigowl Law in Dundee to Draffen Park in Stewarton. Wilkinson expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing partnership with Scarlett Land and Development, hinting at potential future collaborations between the two companies.
