1st Crieff Guides gifted £1,000 by Persimmon North Scotland

The 1st Crieff Guides, a local charity dedicated to building girls’ confidence and raising their aspirations, have been selected as one of Persimmon North Scotland’s Community Champions, securing a generous £1,000 donation.

The charity group set a goal to send 20 guides, rangers, and leaders from Crieff and Dunkeld on an exciting international trip to gain valuable insights into girl guides worldwide. To fund this once-in-a-lifetime experience, the guides rolled up their sleeves and kicked off various fundraising activities, ranging from bag packing at M&S to hosting stalls at the town’s Christmas market.

Claire McColl, a resident of the town and a buyer at Persimmon North Scotland, personally visited the group to present them with a £1,000 cheque in support of their fundraising endeavours.

The £1,000 donation was made possible through Persimmon’s Community Champions initiative, which actively backs charities and causes that make a positive impact in the regions where the company operates. Over the past five years, the initiative has contributed over £360,000 to worthy causes across Scotland.

James MacKay, the Managing Director of Persimmon North Scotland, expressed his delight in supporting the 1st Crieff Guides with this donation, emphasizing the company’s commitment to uplifting the communities it serves. He expressed hope that the guides are eagerly anticipating the upcoming adventure that this donation will help make possible.
