Springboad revamps EV charging in real estate with full funding

Believ, the charge point operator, is forging ahead with its plans to introduce a fully-funded electric vehicle (EV) charging solution tailored for the real estate sector, bolstered by a recent key appointment.
Craig Butler, the newly appointed Property and Acquisitions Director, will spearhead the company’s focus on the real estate industry.
The company has brought on board Craig Butler to assume the pivotal role of Property and Acquisitions Director, entrusted with leading the charge in targeting the real estate market.
Believ will be offering fully-funded EV charge point installation along with a comprehensive end-to-end solution that guides property clients through consultation, logistical planning, power solution support, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
This initiative aligns with Believ’s ambition to expedite the deployment of public charging infrastructure in the UK by establishing charging hubs in urban hubs and along critical transport corridors.
Leveraging his extensive experience and network within the real estate sector, Butler will focus on identifying opportunities for freehold and long-lease land acquisitions, as well as forging strategic partnerships.
With over a decade of expertise in property advisory and asset management, Butler transitions from his role at the renowned commercial real estate and investment firm CBRE, where he managed major national accounts in the retail and leisure sector. More recently, he lent his expertise to global clients within the EV infrastructure field.
“Our primary objective is to pinpoint locations that not only generate long-term commercial value for landowners but also meet the needs of EV drivers,” remarked Butler.
“Backed by the substantial funding from Liberty Global and Zouk Capital, and the extensive scale provided by our partnership with Virgin Media O2, we are well-positioned to make significant strides. Given the real estate market’s inclination towards low-risk and stable opportunities, Believ has a distinct advantage.”
Guy Bartlett, the CEO of Believ, expressed confidence in Butler’s ability to set Believ apart in the property sector.
“Our Property and Acquisitions team, boasting over three decades of collective experience, is well-equipped to deliver tangible value for our clients,” Bartlett affirmed.
“While our initial efforts have centred on assisting local authorities and businesses in providing convenient charging options near residential areas or popular destinations, this latest endeavour enables us to address the crucial ‘on-route’ charging needs essential for longer journeys.”
