Aberdeen’s Grouse Lettings triples property holdings

Grouse Lettings, a residential property management and leasing business based in Aberdeen, has recently made significant strides in expanding its property portfolio through strategic acquisitions. With the recent purchase of Babs Buglass Leasing and the long-term lettings division of PMC Property, Grouse Lettings has seen its portfolio grow by an impressive 295%, bringing the total number of managed properties to 281.

The combined value of these acquisitions is in the six-figures, marking a major milestone for Grouse Lettings and solidifying its position in the market. Babs Buglass, the founder and director of her leasing firm, will be joining the Grouse Lettings team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company.

Neale Bisset and Simon Hudson, who previously managed the long-term rental sector at PMC Property, have decided to focus on the factoring and short-term rental division of the business after selling the residential lettings part to Grouse Lettings. This strategic realignment will allow each business to concentrate on their respective strengths and priorities.

As a result of these acquisitions, Grouse Lettings will now be processing annual rents amounting to £2.4 million, demonstrating the significant growth and potential of the company. Ross Watt, the managing director of Grouse Lettings, expressed his excitement about the recent developments, highlighting the value that these acquisitions bring to the business.

Watt stated, “We’re delighted to have made these acquisitions. The addition of Babs brings a wealth of knowledge to our team, and we’re thrilled to have her on board. Neale, Simon, and Babs were excellent to work with during the acquisition process. We see a significant opportunity to enhance the service provided to landlords and tenants with these new additions.”

With a strong emphasis on customer service and satisfaction, Grouse Lettings aims to leverage these acquisitions to take the business to the next level. The company’s commitment to enhancing the overall experience for landlords and tenants sets it apart in the competitive property management and leasing sector.

In addition to expanding its property portfolio, Grouse Lettings offers a range of services to landlords, including a dedicated online portal for updates and information, virtual tours of properties, and flexible viewing arrangements. The company’s customer-focused approach and attention to detail have contributed to its rapid growth and success in the industry.

Ross Watt, who has nearly two decades of experience in property management and leasing at a senior level, founded Grouse Lettings in 2020 as a part-time venture. Earlier this year, he made the decision to focus full-time on the business, stepping down from his previous role as shareholder and commercial director at Newton Property Management.

With an office located on Queen’s Terrace, Grouse Lettings now manages properties in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Angus. The consolidation of operations from PMC Property and Babs Buglass Leasing into the West End location will streamline processes and ensure a seamless experience for clients across the region.

Looking ahead, Grouse Lettings remains open to further acquisitions in the Aberdeen area as part of its growth strategy. By continuing to prioritise customer service and innovation, the company is well-positioned to capitalise on new opportunities and deliver exceptional results for landlords and tenants alike.
