Moray residents asked for input on development sites.
Are you a local resident with ideas on how to shape the future development of Moray? The Moray Council has opened a ‘Call for Sites’ for the Local Development Plan 2027, giving individuals, landowners, and developers the opportunity to suggest sites for development within the region over the next 10 to 15 years.
The sites proposed will play a crucial role in informing the preparation of the new Local Development Plan, set to be implemented from 2027. This plan will determine how land and buildings are utilized in the area.
If you have a potential site in mind, make sure to submit your suggestions via the online form by Friday 23 August 2024. Remember to include a clear site plan indicating the site boundary, as well as vehicle and active travel connection points. You can also attach additional information, plans, and photos to support your proposal.
For any queries regarding submissions, feel free to reach out to localdevelopmentplan@moray.gov.uk. Moray Council’s acting head of economic growth and development, Beverly Smith, emphasized the importance of this ‘Call for Sites’ in the progression of the Local Development Plan.
Smith stated, “The Local Development Plan will have a significant impact on how land and buildings are used in Moray over the next two decades. It is crucial for everyone in the area to participate and contribute their potential site ideas to ensure that the plan accurately reflects the needs of the community.”
