New electric Vauxhall Combo and Vivaro vans offer extended range.

Vauxhall has unveiled its latest offerings in the electric MPV segment with the revamped Combo Life Electric and Vivaro Life Electric. Priced starting from £32,180 and £39,190 respectively, these vehicles are geared towards families and fleets in need of a versatile people carrier.

One of the key highlights of the updated models is the introduction of Vauxhall’s signature Vizor front-end design, giving them a fresh and modern look. Moreover, these MPVs boast enhanced electric range and the latest technology, mirroring their commercial vehicle counterparts.

The Combo Life Electric is available in two variants – the standard version accommodating up to five passengers and the Electric XL providing space for up to seven individuals across three rows. With a range of practical features such as a separately opening window in the tailgate and split-folding third-row seats, these vehicles offer flexibility and convenience.

Under the hood, the Combo Life Electric has been upgraded to offer more range than before, thanks to its 136hp electric motor and optional heat pump. The 52kWh battery now allows for a WLTP range of up to 199 miles, providing a significant improvement over the previous model.

Drivers can enjoy the convenience of 100kW DC rapid charging capability, allowing the battery to reach 80% capacity in just 30 minutes at compatible charging stations. Additionally, the vehicle offers Eco, Normal, and Power driving modes, along with regenerative braking for efficient energy consumption.

When it comes to safety and technology, the Combo Life Electric is equipped with up to 18 driver assistance systems, including Intelli-Grip with hill descent control and sensors at the front, rear, and flank. The vehicle also offers adaptive IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights for improved visibility at night.

Available in Design and Ultimate trim levels, the Combo Life Electric offers a range of features such as a multimedia audio system, voice control, and Vauxhall Connect. The Ultimate trim level adds luxurious upgrades like a panoramic rear-view camera and leather steering wheel.

The larger Vivaro Life Electric is designed for larger families and shuttle services, offering spacious and comfortable seating for up to nine passengers. It comes in two lengths – standard and XL, with three trim levels to choose from – Combi, Design, and Ultimate.

With various seating configurations available, including a VIP Pack with individual leather armchairs, the Vivaro Life Electric caters to different needs, whether for business meetings or leisure travel. The vehicle also offers ample load volume ranging from 1,500 to 4,900 litres depending on the seating arrangement.

Standard features on the Vivaro Life Electric include a 10-inch HD touchscreen, tinted windows, and full diameter wheel trims. The Ultimate trim level adds premium amenities such as TOSCA speakers, leather seat trim, and dual-zone climate control for a luxurious experience.

Both the Combo Life Electric and Vivaro Life Electric models come with a range of safety and driver assistance features, ensuring a secure and comfortable driving experience. The vehicles are equipped with Eco LED headlights, lane keeping assist, and rear parking sensors, among other safety technologies.

Powered by a 75kWh battery and 136hp electric motor, the Vivaro Life Electric offers a range of up to 217 miles, while a smaller 50kWh battery option provides a range of 139 miles. Rapid charging capabilities allow for quick recharging, with the 50kWh battery reaching 80% capacity in 38 minutes.

Customers can take advantage of Vauxhall’s Plug & Go offer, which includes a free Octopus Energy Ohme Pro wallbox and installation with online purchases. Additionally, customers can opt for free charging credit at Tesco stores or a roaming charging credit with Octopus Electroverse.

Orders for the Combo Life Electric and Vivaro Life Electric are now open, with deliveries expected to begin in early summer. With their enhanced range, premium features, and versatile seating options, these electric MPVs offer a compelling choice for families and fleet operators looking for a greener and more efficient transportation solution.
