Public views on Housing Bill revealed

The Scottish Parliament’s Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee has made public the 312 responses received from a recent public consultation on the Scottish Government’s Housing (Scotland) Bill.

Various organisations, including Shelter Scotland, Citizens Advice Scotland, Homes for Scotland, Scottish Association of Landlords, Scottish Trades Union Congress, and Living Rent, as well as individuals, businesses, local authorities, and other landlord and tenant groups, contributed their views to the consultation process. The responses are now available for public scrutiny.

Before the Committee commences oral evidence gathering on the Bill, representatives from the Scottish Government Bill Team and Rent Service Scotland are scheduled to appear before the Committee today. To access the complete agenda and documents for this meeting, visit here.

As the summer recess approaches, the Committee is set to gather additional insights from stakeholders on the Housing (Scotland) Bill on June 11th, 18th, and 25th, followed by the preparation of a Stage 1 report in the Autumn.
