Sanctuary receives seven new homes in Muirhead from Persimmon.
Nineteen high-quality new homes are set to make a positive impact on the local community in Muirhead, as Persimmon West Scotland and Sanctuary Scotland join hands to provide much-needed housing solutions. This collaborative effort has resulted in the handover of seven new homes in the Royale Meadows development, with plans for a total of 44 homes to be transferred to Sanctuary Scotland in the future.
The properties, consisting of a mix of 2- and 3-bedroom homes, are now under the management of Sanctuary Scotland, a leading housing association in Scotland. The handover ceremony, attended by Persimmon West Scotland’s land director Craig Moore and Sanctuary Scotland’s development director Gillian Lavety, marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership aimed at addressing North Lanarkshire’s significant housing waiting list.
Craig Moore expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the benefits of collaboration in increasing housing supply for local residents. He also emphasised Persimmon’s commitment to offering affordable housing options, with their homes priced approximately 20% below the Scottish average for new builds, thus providing more accessible routes to home ownership in North Lanarkshire.
Gillian Lavety echoed Moore’s sentiments, emphasising Sanctuary Scotland’s dedication to delivering high-quality and affordable homes to those in need. By working alongside partners like Persimmon, Sanctuary Scotland aims to fulfil the demand for affordable housing in North Lanarkshire and create a positive impact on the local community.
The Royale Meadows development stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in addressing housing challenges and meeting the needs of local residents. With the first batch of homes now in the hands of Sanctuary Scotland, the future looks promising for those seeking affordable and quality housing solutions in Muirhead and beyond.
