Gilbarco Veeder-Root Enters EV Charging Market.

Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR), a specialist in fuelling and convenience technology, has announced the launch of its new EV charging business, Konect. This innovative venture aims to revolutionise EV forecourt and fleet charging, offering a powerful electric vehicle recharging ecosystem tailored for the fuel retail industry and fleet sector.

Developed in partnership with SK Signet Inc, a global leader in EV charging solutions, Konect provides a fully integrated suite of EV charging hardware and software solutions. This enables businesses to install their own EV charging infrastructure, reduce costs, and maximise return on investment (ROI).

With a focus on enhancing fuel retailers’ ROI and accelerating the transition to electric mobility, Konect offers fleet applications as well. Vehicle operators can benefit from a turnkey solution that optimises operational efficiency and ensures a seamless transition to electrification.

Speaking about the launch, Dave Coombe, President at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, expressed the company’s commitment to making EV charging a profitable venture globally. He stated, “With the launch of Konect, we are signalling our dedication to helping customers overcome current limitations in the EV charging market and realise significant value for their business.”

Currently available in the USA and Europe, Konect is expected to expand into additional markets in the near future, catering to the growing demand for comprehensive EV charging solutions.
