Humax teams up with ChargedEV for UK smart charging rollout

ChargedEV has landed a significant partnership deal with Humax, solidifying its position as the official EV charging installation partner for the South Korean brand’s smart EV charging solutions in the UK. This move comes hot on the heels of Humax’s recent introduction of their smart EV charging solutions into the UK market, marking a pivotal moment for both companies.

The Ecord, Humax’s flagship product, has been specifically designed for seamless installation and user-friendly operation in residential properties. This innovative home charger solution has already created a buzz in the market, offering a convenient and efficient way for EV owners to power up their vehicles from the comfort of their homes.

ChargedEV, a key player in the EV charging industry and a part of the esteemed Redde Northgate Group, will take charge of delivering a comprehensive range of services to Humax customers throughout the UK. This includes conducting surveys, providing pre- and post-installation support, and leveraging their extensive in-house team of over 70 skilled electricians – the largest in the industry.

Humax’s strategic entry into the UK market earlier this year has been met with widespread acclaim, with their smart EV charging solutions receiving praise for their cutting-edge technology and robust customer support infrastructure. The company’s foray into the European market is set to revolutionise the way EV owners power up their vehicles, setting a new benchmark for excellence in the industry.

Leading the charge with their Ecord 7.4kW home charger, Humax has set the bar high for home charging solutions. The charger, available in wall-mounted or pedestal options, comes equipped with a 4m or 7m Type 2 cable and can be effortlessly controlled either manually using RFID technology or via the user-friendly Humax Ecord app.

Looking ahead, Humax has plans to expand their product range to include commercial chargers, drawing on their vast experience and expertise from global operations. This move is expected to cater to the evolving needs of the fleet and commercial EV charging industry, building on the success that Humax has already achieved in the broadcasting sector.

Customers purchasing the Humax smart home charger will benefit from a seamless online purchasing experience, thanks to the integration of ChargedEV’s bespoke back-office platform into the Humax EV Charging website. This innovative approach allows customers to select a home installation service provided by ChargedEV as part of their online shopping journey, streamlining the process and enhancing user convenience.

In addition to installation services, ChargedEV will also focus on optimising the solar compatibility of Humax EV chargers, enabling customers to harness excess solar energy from their home PV systems to power up their EVs. This sustainability-focused approach aligns with the growing demand for eco-friendly solutions in the EV charging space, showcasing a commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
