Yunex partners with Kempower for EV charging services

Kempower, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charger manufacturer, has recently appointed Yunex Traffic to provide a wide range of warranty and maintenance support services for its clients’ charger networks. This collaboration marks a significant step towards ensuring the reliability and efficiency of EV charging infrastructure in the UK.

Under this new partnership, Yunex Traffic is not only authorised to supply Kempower’s cutting-edge range of rapid chargers to chargepoint operators (CPOs), local authorities, and public and private fleet owners in the UK but also to deliver essential warranty and maintenance services from their 17 regional service centres across the country. The team of field service engineers at Yunex Traffic is well-equipped to provide expert and responsive support to ensure that Kempower’s chargers meet the UK Government’s stringent 99% reliability rate, as mandated by the new Public Charge Point regulations.

The latest regulations require all public rapid charge points to achieve a minimum of 99% average reliability within a year of their implementation. Failure to meet these targets may result in significant fines or even a prohibition on installing more public charge points until remedial actions are taken. Therefore, the partnership between Kempower and Yunex Traffic is not only timely but crucial in meeting these regulatory requirements and effectively supporting the growing EV infrastructure in the UK.

Rolle Nieminen, the Head of Sales at Kempower in the UK and Ireland, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Yunex Traffic as we advance our mission to drive the global transition to sustainable mobility. Customers in the UK can now benefit from convenient, user-friendly, and dependable EV fast charging solutions to meet their diverse charging needs.”

Similarly, Wilke Reints, the Managing Director of Yunex Traffic in the UK, highlighted the expanding capabilities of their electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI) services, stating, “We are proud to be appointed as an approved service partner by Kempower, enhancing our support for the nation’s EV charger network. With our wealth of experience, we offer comprehensive advice and assistance to customers in setting up EV charging infrastructure, from inception to ongoing maintenance, all in a seamless package.”

Notably, Yunex Traffic’s hardware-agnostic approach enables them to customise service packages for customers using Kempower chargers or equipment from other manufacturers. This flexibility allows clients to streamline their operations by working with a single service provider for all their EV charging needs, eliminating the complexity of coordinating with multiple suppliers.

Overall, the collaboration between Kempower and Yunex Traffic signifies a significant advancement in the realm of EV charging infrastructure in the UK. By combining expertise, resources, and a shared commitment to sustainability, the two companies are well-positioned to drive innovation and reliability in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle market.
