Europcar’s New Report Showcases Sustainability Success
Europcar Mobility Group UK has recently unveiled a groundbreaking report that highlights the key milestones achieved in its sustainability journey. The ‘Plugged into Sustainability’ guide not only sheds light on Europcar’s own path towards sustainability but also showcases how the company is aiding businesses in slashing their fleet emissions.
The report unveils a plethora of noteworthy landmarks, including:
- Europcar customers driving over 3.5 million EV miles in 2023
- A staggering 50,000 more EV rental days recorded year on year
- 5% of Europcar’s corporate clientele gaining access to EVs
- A remarkable 12% of the rental fleet consisting of battery electric (BEV) or plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles by the end of 2023, marking a phenomenal year-on-year surge of 379%
- More than 25% of delivery & collection journeys utilising electric cars and bikes, showcasing a commitment to eco-friendly transport solutions
Mark Newberry, the commercial director and sustainability spokesperson at Europcar Mobility Group UK, expressed, “We are dedicated to facilitating businesses and private motorists in transitioning from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles to electric ones. Europcar’s electrified fleet now boasts a diverse range of models, available for short-term rentals or longer durations. The company has managed to reduce CO2 emissions on its company car vehicles by a commendable 85% compared to the previous fleet.
